FamJam, the signature series where kids and parents can learn, play and move together, returns this fall with a renowned magician’s show and a musical, magical journey into outer space!
The Jones Center’s 2024-25 FamJam season kicks off in October with Bill Blagg’s Family Magic and returns to the stage in November with The Magic School Bus: Lost in the Solar System.
FamJam is for families who want to kickstart their weekend in a fun and active way. Each FamJam includes:
- Featured family entertainment performance (2pm or 6pm)
- Indoor ice skating (12:30-2:30pm) and swimming (12-6pm)
- A themed craft activity (after the show)

Bill Blagg’s Family Magic

Abracadabra! Laughter, wonder and endless surprises await when the Jones Center welcomes renown magician Bill Blagg to FamJam. Family Magic is a unique blend of interactive entertainment and awe-inspiring magic that guarantees an unforgettable adventure for all ages. With over an hour of non-stop fun, Blagg’s brand of comedy, audience participation and mind-bending magic will keep everyone on the edge of their seat. Audiences will be amazed as ordinary objects come to life, while others vanish in the blink of an eye – and anyone could be chosen to float in mid-air!
The Magic School Bus: Lost in the Solar System
Saturday, Nov. 16, 2pm and 6pm
Get ready for a far-out ride when this TheaterWorksUSA family musical lands at the Jones Center! The Magic School Bus: Lost in the Solar System is an epic planetary field trip based on the book series published by Scholastic. Families will love watching their favorite characters from the book and TV series explore the atmosphere on Mercury, Venus and Mars. When the class gets lost on the way to the planetarium, Ms. Frizzle saves the day by blasting into outer space. But when rivalries both old and new threaten to tear the students apart, they must pull together or risk forever being lost in space.
