Halberg Ecology Summer Camp

Started by the Arkansas Audubon Society in 1980, the Halberg Ecology Camp is a one-week overnight camp held each June for current 5th and 6th graders who love to be outdoors! Campers will attend hands-on classes throughout the week, including Ornithology, Entomology, Aquatic Biology, and Geology. In the evening, campers will participate in science-themed activities and games, and will get to see nature-themed presentations from experts in the field. At the end of the week, campers will come home with a deeper appreciation and knowledge of the environment all around them! 

SESSION 1: JUNE 9-14
SESSION 2: JUNE 16 - 21

The Arkansas Audubon Society Halberg Ecology Camp is held each June at Camp Clearfork, a U.S. Forest Service camp between Hot Springs and Mt. Ida.
Camp is for youth completing 5th or 6th grade. Applications are taken until we fill the 80 openings.  Later applicants are placed on a waiting list in the event there are cancelations.
