Description
Join Thaden Field and FLY OZ Club as they celebrate Women Of Aviation Worldwide Week 2024 (March 4-10). This is a global aviation awareness week observed to mark the anniversary of the first pilot license issued to a woman, Raymonde de Laroche, on March 8, 1910.
Activities at Thaden Field will include:
🎨 Inspiration challenge: Show us what aviation means to you with your masterpiece (color in our exhibit hangar or at home, take a pic, make a video, whatever inspires you). Just for fun or to compete, upload your creation to the WOAW website between March 4-10.
💖 Pink Paper Plane Challenge: We'll provide all the pink paper you can handle, you provide the folding muscles.
🤳🏽 Photo booth: Imagine yourself flying high in the sky in our sky-themed photo booth.
🛫 Fly It Forward: Ever wondered what it's like to fly? Come to the exhibit hangar all week and enter a drawing for 2 FREE discovery flights over NWA!
👀 Up Close + Personal: Visit the exhibit hangar to see, touch, and sit in airplanes and hear from the pilots who fly them! (March 9, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.)
